In May 2021, I spoke to Spectrum News again for an article that covers the reactions of Austin parents and county judges to Governor Abbott's executive order prohibiting mask mandates in schools. This piece provides a range of perspectives on the controversial order, including concerns over the health and safety of children and the potential impact on schools and the community.

In October of 2020, I spoke with Spectrum News for an article that covers the struggles of Austin parents as schools resume optional in-person education during the COVID-19 pandemic. This piece explores the difficult decisions that parents were facing as they weigh the risks and benefits of sending their children back to school, highlighting the concerns and fears that many families are experiencing. It allowed me to share insights into the challenges of parenting during a pandemic and the impact of school reopening policies on the community.

During the summer of 2020, I was one of the hundreds of voices from the Austin community demanding that the city reduce police funding.
This powerful piece recorded my part of my testimony and covers the protests and demonstrations that erupted in Austin following the death of George Floyd, and highlights the frustration and anger felt by many residents over the proposed city and policing budget.
